M: Top Ten Favorite Characters by Lurockia M: Top Ten Favorite Characters by Lurockia
I find it somewhat amusing that all Ten of my Favorite Characters are exclusively men. I tried to think of female characters, I did but I didn't love any nearly as much as did these guys. I even tried to think of what a Top Ten Favorite Female Characters would look like for me and I actually struggled in my mind to think of any to fill up the entirety of the ten. I'm just more of a Male Oriented Character kind of girl I suppose.

Anyway, all Ten of these boys have some level of importance to me. I didn't choose them because I thought them handsome for being piles of ink and pixels but rather they made an impression on me in some shape or form. If any of you want to listen to my boring prattle please read on. :giggle:

• My Number One: Laguna Loire from Final Fantasy VIII
- Laguna has always held a special place for me. I must've been about seven years old when the game initially came out and watched my brother play everyday after school. I instantly fell in love with his friendly and somewhat goofy nature. He always seemed to bring humor into the situation no matter how bad it is, something I often do myself.
My Number Two: Zevran Arainai from Dragon Age: Origins
- It didn't take long at all for Zevran to make it to the top of my persona favorites. I always found his behavior to be the most amusing and often if not always brought him along with me in all my game travels. His lecherous habits always had a way of making me laugh and that right there was enough for me.
• My Number Three: Zelos Wilder from Tales of Symphonia
- Yet another lecherous character who had a way of making me laugh. It's true, I have a weak spot for laughter. Make me laugh and it's a straight shot for me from there. Though I like that in Zelos' case, his reasons for womanizing are a lot more complex than just a bad habit but I'll keep the spoilers to myself.
• My Number Four: Anders of the Magi from Dragon Age II
- One of the more recent additions. He shot himself up the ranks during my second playthrough of Dragon Age II. A lot of the things he said affected me deeply which I'm surprised I didn't catch the first time around. This is a character I not only love, but heavily respect.
• My Number Five: Dark Ryou Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
- I'm not even sure why he's up here other than I always thought him to be such a badass since I was a kid. He's psychotic, insane, sadistic, and has little to no good qualities to make up for it but I don't really care. He's awesome.
• My Number Six: Bankotsu Banryuu from InuYasha
- I always found it interesting that even though he's a vicious murderer he still has a boyish charm to him. I enjoy the rare side of him that shows that he's still human when it's just him and his best friend Jakotsu sharing a talk in private. Crazy and sweet? That's a good mix.
• My Number Seven: Roy Mustang from FullMetal Alchemist
- Oh that charmer. I've always enjoyed how dedicated he was to his cause and his humorous personality. Though I have to admit, I love watching his more serious moments even more because he just seems so focused. The new Brotherhood series certainly hasn't changed that and if anything made him even better than he was before.
• My Number Eight: Maric Theirin from Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne
- Ah Maric.. I would consider this character irreplaceable to me. I started reading the books during a hard time in my life and they were the only thing that kept my hope afloat. He was such an amazing character, funny, loyal, and after everything he's been through he still manages to smile. I looked up to him as something of a personal hero to me and decided to take his example for myself.
• My Number Nine: Pips of the Fae from Ferngully: The Last Rainforest
- This cocky lil fairyboy is another favorite from childhood. I've always adored his facial expressions and truth be told I actually like him a lot more than the main male character Zak. He's just all around fun.
• My Number Ten: Vegeta, Prince of Saiyans from DragonBall Z
- Finally there's Vegeta. I love his character development throughout the series from Season One to the last season. Heck, even somewhat in GT even though I don't like that series nearly as much. He maintains his cocky and determined attitude until the very end but whether he likes it or not.. He has a soft side.

And that my friends... Is all I have to say about that.

Exuse me,minor rant warning xD

Brotherhood is based off the FMA manga, which came first before any of the animes, the first FMA anime wasnt based off the series barely at all, and they made the characters slightly different then they were supposed to be. Thats why Brotherhood characters may seem better :3

Yes, I'm perfectly aware that the Brotherhood version is based on the manga whilst the first FullMetal Alchemist series strays off into an alternate universe. Doesn't change the fact that I still enjoyed that series very much though. =P
